Consistent Treadmill Use for Weight Loss

Long Term Weight Loss Can Be Achieved By Using Treadmills

When my fitness trainer forced me to start running on a treadmill during a session, I can’t lie… I hated it with a passion! I never liked running unless I was running after a baseball to catch. I sure do love baseball!

I was never a runner nor did I care to be one. But, I discovered how much I enjoyed running while listening to my favorite music on a treadmill. I ended up getting caught up in my workout and music that it the time just flew by.

I Lost Nearly 40 Lbs & Kept it off for 15 Years

I knew that consistent treadmill use was the only thing that separated me from reaching my ultimate goal of being in tip top shape. I was already completely familiar with free weights and nautilus machines. But running on a treadmill was something I dreaded. Once I got past it and started to enjoy it, I reached my ultimate goal.

For some people, running on a treadmill is like pulling teeth but for me, it changed. It became like a Zen moment. I am so happy it did.

If you experienced anything like I have and you hate to run, you are not alone. Somehow, you have to find a way to get to your daily motivation in order to take the first step and start.

I know it takes great discipline to get on a treadmill every day or even a few times per week and workout. Of course you understand there are health
and fitness benefits to working out. Yet sometimes it’s just not enough. Sometimes you need a little extra push to motivate you.

Consider these four recommendations for finding your motivation to run.

#1 Music

Many people find that music is the key, it was for me. I use Spotify and have different Playlists for my workouts. Turn it on while you’re getting ready to run. Find music that makes you feel good whether it be inspirational, motivating or heart pounding.

There are many podcasts created specifically for runners. You can check those out too. As an entrepreneur, I like to different Podcasts depending on what I am working on. One month it could be about Weight Loss and the next month it could be about best ways to blog. The best thing about them is they are all free!

These days, even little pocket MP3 players for listening to music is a thing of the past. Just use your mobile device, it’s simple and easy. If your music isn’t downloaded on your phone, it’s a nonissue. Because if you are at the health club, you will likely be able to tap directly into their Wifi at no cost.

#2 Find A Partner

If you have a good partner that is positive, it can really make all the difference. It’s important to find a partner that will contribute to your workout success and not be a detriment to it.

Do: If you hold your partner accountable and your partner does the same for you, it is a WIN, WIN.

Don’t: You just want to make sure you don’t feed into a negative environment and start to rationalize your way out of your daily routine.

#3 Use A Personal Trainer

A personal fitness trainer is usually certified through ACE, NCCA, or EHFA. They are certified to help you reach your goals. They will hold you accountable during each session when you meet. Not only that, they will also give you real tips and advice for when you leave the gym.

#4 Make it Easy

One of the simplest ways to make running easy is to buy a treadmill for your home. You don’t need to pack a gym bag, pay a membership or worry about the weather. You can run any time you want to. And if you buy one of the new technologically advanced treadmills they come with so many cool gadgets you may never get off your treadmill.
